Leeds Regional Anaesthesia Training Course - Course Faculty

Dr. Heidi Grogan

grogan Dr. Grogan obtained her primary medical qualification, MB ChB, from Liverpool University in 1993. She commenced her higher specialist training in 1999 in the Yorkshire Deanery and was granted her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2004. She was conferred a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2000 and was granted a Diploma in Anaesthesia from Leeds University in 2002. In February 2005 Dr. Grogan was appointed Consultant Anaesthetist in Orthopaedic, Trauma and Obstetric anaesthesia in Leeds General Infirmary. Currently, she is the educational supervisor for orthopaedic, trauma and regional anaesthesia. She is also a co-founder and director of the Leeds Regional Anaesthesia Course.

Dr. Andrew Berrill

berrill Dr Andrew Berrill graduated from the University of Edinburgh MBChB in 1987. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1993. He trained in anaesthesia in the Yorkshire region and had fellowship year at the Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre in British Columbia, Canada. Dr Berrill was appointed to the post of Consultant Anaesthetist in Leeds in 1998, initially at St James's University Hospital and subsequently at Leeds General Infirmary. His clinical interests are in anaesthesia for hand surgery, orthopaedic surgery and plastic surgery. Dr Berrill is currently Clinical Lead for Hand Surgery and Plastics Anaesthesia.
